A yeast infection is one of the worse ailments a woman can go through. It is very common and there are many ways to treat it. If you are getting tired of the over the counter pills and creams read on to find alternative ways to make a yeast infection go away – and stay away.

You can treat a yeast infection easier and quicker because new medications are being developed all the time. In this article, we’ll talk about how long a yeast infection lasts and ways that you can rid your body of the infection.

A yeast infection is the result of already present yeast in our body multiplying unchecked. Candidiasis is the medical term. When the pH level in our body drops, this allows the yeast that is already present to multiply. The yeast multiplies and overcomes the good bacteria in our bodies and we end up with a yeast infection.

How long does a yeast infection last? It can last a week or more and is dependent on how you treat it. If your symptoms have not lessened after a week, you should go see your doctor.

If you have never had a yeast infection before, go see a medical practitioner to get a definite diagnosis. Like most women, if this is not your first, you know what you can do and the best way to treat it. If you’re tired of the normal vaginal cream, there are homemade treatments for yeast infections that you can try.

You can use over the counter creams to shorten the uncomfortable period. Usually you will start to feel relief after three days but it can take up to seven days before the ailment is completely cleared up. If it is a bad case, you may want to get a prescription from your medical provider.

The yeast infection may go away by itself but you can treat the symptoms which will relieve the discomfort. You can get immediate relief from tea tree oil by putting some on a tampon and placing it in the vagina for 20 minutes. Next rub some tea tree oil around the labia (outside skin) for soothing, immediate relief. For soothing, relaxing relief, put a cup of apple cider vinegar in a tub of warm water and soak for about 20 minutes.

Using one of these treatments allows you to relieve the symptoms while giving your body time to heal on its own. Some people believe that if you don’t treat the infection you may have more serious problems later on. If your discomfort has not subsided after a week, you should go see your doctor. You might have something else, like a bacterial infection.

If you are not thrilled with the idea of treating your infection with yogurt or sticking anything in your vagina, you should know about other yeast infection treatments without the mess. There are many homemade remedies that people claim can work as well as a prescription. You can get relief while your body heals itself.

A yeast infection is never a good experience for anyone, and it can be even worse when you have reoccurring infections. You might be wondering what causes yeast infections to reoccur and how you can get rid of them permanently.

Yeast infections are caused by the candida that grows in moist areas of the body like the vaginal area and intestinal tract. If you have a yeast infection that keeps reoccurring, it has become immune to the treatments you are currently taking. Now the yeast infection has become stronger and immune to other medications also.

Sometimes, reoccurring yeast infections might be a symptom of a more serious condition such as HIV or diabetes. This is why you should always seek the advice of a doctor at the first sign of a yeast infection. If you already suffer from a yeast infection, taking over the counter medicine or antibiotics could make the yeast infection much worse. If you are eating a lot of sugary foods, then the fungus is also being feed by the foods you eat. This could be a reason you are experiencing reoccurring infections.

One thing you can do is to change your diet. Avoid foods that are high in sugar and carbohydrates. There are many natural cures available such as apple cider, garlic, vinegar, and yogurt. These have all been proven to get rid of the symptoms of yeast infections.

Most treatments available for reoccurring yeast infections are intended to relieve only the discomfort and the symptoms. When the yeast still has the right environment, it will continue to grow and will become resistant to any future medications you might use. What is needed is a complete change of diet and lifestyle, along with a natural cure that is best for you. This is the best way to put an end to reoccurring yeast infections.

When you educate yourself about the proper steps you need to take so that you can deal with your yeast infection and help your body control the fungal overgrowth from the inside out. You will eliminate the pain, humiliation, and annoyance associated with this condition and you will feel more in control.

I have tried most products and over the counter medications, all of which seem to work, but, only for a few days. After a few days of bliss, I was back to square 1, itching, discharging, being uncomfortable and embarrassed with my disease. Also, you will feel more healthier, vibrant and energized. You will have better digestion, greater vision, healthier hair, skin and nails. Having knowledge is power. Apply what you learn and you will be yeast infection free. Did you realize that food is often to blame for many of the infections that we are experiencing?  This is especially the case whenever we are having a yeast infection but it is not necessarily the yeast that we are eating which is causing the problem.  Yeast infections are caused by a certain type of Candida that is present in the environment all around us.  It is also in our body, even when we are not experiencing an infection and it serves a useful purpose.  When our body is in balance, that yeast is kept in check so we do not typically experience any problems.

If you have a problem with yeast infections, especially if they are recurring or even chronic, there are some foods that you should avoid at all costs.  These foods don’t necessarily cause a yeast infection to occur but they can keep it alive once it exists.  Here are 4 different types of foods that should be avoided by those who have problems with yeast infections.

Sugar – One of the main things that should be avoided when you’re having a problem with yeast infections is processed sugar.  Yeast eats sugar so if you’re feeding the yeast infection, you’re going to have a difficult time getting rid of it.  Even many of the foods that you should eat for yeast infections, such as yogurt, typically have a lot of sugar added.  Make sure that you read the labels before you put anything in your mouth.

Processed Foods – Anything that is processed is not going to necessarily be good for your body.  If you really want to get rid of a yeast infection that you are experiencing, you need to get back to the basics of eating, including plenty of raw fruits and vegetables.

Pasta – Even though many of us enjoy eating pasta regularly, you should avoid eating it whenever you are experiencing a yeast infection.  Most of the pasta that we eat is made from refined flour and water.  This refined flour can cause problems in our body, including feeding the yeast infection that we are experiencing.

Mushrooms – Even though not all of us eat mushrooms, it is certainly high up on the list of things that we should not be eating if we have a yeast infection.  Make sure you avoid them and you will have better success with getting rid of the infection.

Are you looking for some natural yeast infection remedies that really work? If so then the following article will provide 3 powerful natural remedies that help to significantly improve the symptoms you experience during an infection. Afterwards I’ll discuss where to find the strongest natural remedies that can provide relief within 5 hours.

Aloe Vera Gel - This natural extract from the leaves of the aloe vera plant is a highly effective anti-inflammatory. It’s an excellent way to soothe a burning vagina and any other yeast infected areas for that matter. Apply generously as much as needed. Bear in mind however that this remedy cannot destroy the infection itself but will absolutely assist in reducing the severity of the symptoms experienced.

Slippery elm bark powder - This natural remedy is commonly used for sore throat by coming in a lozenge form. What you need to use is the powder itself and blend it in with a little water. Mix the two until you have the ideal consistency to make a paste which you then apply to all affected areas as needed. It is an excellent way to reduce inflammation and can work well in addition to either of the other treatments mentioned.

Unsweetened Yogurt - By using a sugar free yogurt directly on the affected areas, you effectively can reduce further suffering. Freezing the yogurt into cubes or popsicles can create the added benefit of a cooling sensation as well. The reason this can be so helpful is that the beneficial bacteria in unsweetened yogurt destroys the yeast as well.

There are many great powerful natural remedies for yeast infections all over the web, however most times it can be a struggle to find them all in one place. More important is to find a guide that provides a broad explanation of everything concerning yeast infections so you can maximize your efforts and know exactly which treatment to use based on your symptoms and the severity.

I’ve been having yeast infections a lot (like more than once a month) recently and I’m not sure why. I am going to make an appointment with my doctor a.s.a.p but I just curious about the harm they can cause. Can they (over time) damage your uterus and your ability to have children sometime in the future?
Oh and also, has anybody heard of that Candida flush stuff where you take some kind of remedy and it flushes out all the bad Candida and stuff?

I really don’t want to see my doctor. Is this nornmal should I just keep treating it with Monistat and natural remedies? And I know HIV could be a factor but I dont have HIV because I recently just had a blood test and nothing was brought up. Is it just the pill?

I’ve had blood test and all come back normal, but I get colds at least every three months.
Also, will I need to change my diet drastically or just add more veggies to my diet?

Have you ever found yourself getting over a yeast infection, just to have another one show up a week or so later? Not only are these infections nasty, but they can ruin your sex life, your self esteem, and get you wondering, “Why does my yeast infection keep coming back?”

Just to let you know, you are not alone. I once suffered from this nasty infection recurring every month. I now have finally gotten control of it and am going to share with you some information in what can cause these infections to come back.

Yeast exists in the mouth, the gut, on the skin, and in the genital tissues, and rarely spreads throughout the body. If yeast does spread though out the body, it is usually caused by a weakened immune system, and can cause overgrowth in the cells. Once the yeast locks into the cells, it becomes a mold form and can cause serious health problems. At this stage in the game, the infection begins to destroy healthy tissue.

This kind of infection produces chemicals that change the tissues it’s invading to help it grow. The usual creams and ointments often do not penetrate far enough to kill this kind of yeast, and pills are usually not taken long enough to kill it either.

Because yeast is constantly in our body, anything that weakens any of our four defenses will allow the it to multiply and cause infection over and over.

If the underlying problem that has allowed the yeast to grow is not corrected, you can expect it to keep coming back as many times as it wants.

If you are interested to cure a yeast infection of any kind, I urge you to consider the information above.
